ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM
Zero is Mondraker’s proprietary most efficient, best performing and super capable suspension system. Zero is a dual link design with the shock floating between the two suspension links and compressed from both ends. This makes the rear suspension extremely sensitive on small bumps and big hit capable.
Zero superior technologies’ main advantages are Zero power loss -a completely stable ride when pedalling-, Zero pedal kickback-minimum chain growth throughout the suspension travel-, Zero brake jack –isolated braking and suspension forces- and what we call Zero bumps, its great ability to soak up any type of bump keeping the rear wheel efficiently planted on the ground.

Batteries
Shimano is proud to say that their batteries are renowned for keeping you out on the trails and riding further. They’ve expanded their battery line-up with 720Wh internal and external batteries for even more capacity and longer rides. After 1000 full charge cycles, the batteries powering EP8 will still hold 60% max capacity, leaving you to maximize trail time all over again. They may even outlive the bike depending on how often and hard you ride. This means you can keep lapping your favorite singletrack sections during the longest days and focus on the next switchback, not the battery indicator.

Mega Bike, geile Optik, super Preis. Hab mir schwer getan mit der Wahl zwischen Schimano und Marktführer Bosch, letztendlich bin ich aber froh auf Shimano gesetzt zu haben. In der aktuellen Ausbaustufe des EP 801 deutlich harmonischerer Schub als bei einem Bosch Aggregat (bin beide gefahren). Die etwas längere Fast Forward Geometrie kommt mir auch sehr entgegen mit etwas längerem Reach, bessere Performance auf dem Trail.
Bike wurde bisher 60 km in leiten bis mittlerem Gelände gefahren. Ist mein drittes e-mtb (nach Flyer/Panasonic 2011 und Cube Stereo HPC/Bosch/2021) und definitiv das agilste Die Geometrie kommt mir sehr entgegen da sie beim steilen aufwärtsfahren auf losem Untergrund deutliche Vorteile bringt. Motor ist sehrt harmonisch integriert und sparsamer als der Boschmotor aber ist gefühlt etwas weniger druckvoll in den hohen Unterstützungsstufen. Alls ok für mich da ich diese selten nutze. Alles in allem super happy mit dem Kauf auch angesichts des super Preises. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die Bremsen - das verbaute DB8 system ist effektiv, kommt nicht an die Matura Konkurrenz heran.
