Small part, big effect: The 12mm thru axle takes the good old 5mm trailer mountings. The thru axle replaces the existing one, takes up the trailer coupling with a quick release and thus connects the bike to the trailer.

Perfekt ist sie nicht, aber das beste was man finden kann wenn man die Kupplung abnehmen möchte ohne Werkzeug und wenns optisch einigermaßen aussehen soll wenn die Kupplung nicht montiert ist. Es dauert etwas lang die Schraube mit dem Spannhebel zu montieren, man muss ihn schon sehr fest machen damit sich die Kupplung nicht beim Fahren verschiebt und den richtigen Punkt zu finden, an dem man sie spannt, nicht zu locker und nicht zu fest ist auch etwas fummelig. Es kann auch sein dass sie am optimalen Punkt mit der Kupplung kollidiert, dann muss man noch eine Scheibe unterlegen. Aber wie gesagt, das Beste was man bekommt so weit ich weiß.
