Disposal instructions for batteries

Since our deliveries may contain batteries and rechargeable batteries, we are obliged under the Battery Act (BattG) to inform you of the following: Batteries may not be disposed of with household waste. End consumers are legally obliged to return used batteries. Used batteries can contain harmful substances which, if not stored or disposed of properly, may harm the environment or your health. However, batteries also contain important raw materials, such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel, and can be recycled. After use, you can either return the batteries free of charge either to us or in your immediate vicinity (e.g. in retail stores, at local collection points or in our warehouse). Returning batteries to points of sale is limited to standard end-user quantities as well as such used batteries which the distributor has or had in his product range as new batteries.

The symbol with the crossed out waste bin indicates that batteries and rechargeable batteries are not permitted to be disposed of with household waste. You can find the following additional symbols underneath the waste bin symbol, which have the following meaning:

Pb: Battery contains lead

Cd: Battery contains cadmium

Hg: Battery contains mercury
