Product information "GS1 Evo Single Twist Shift grips"

The GS1 Evo Single Twist Shift makes every ride more comfortable and less tiring - especially on long journeys or when twist shifters are used intensively.

Perfect grip position and high-grip surface: GS1 Evo Single Twist Shift

The Ergon GS1 Evo Single Twist Shift Black is a sporty and ergonomic bike grip that has been specially developed for use with twist shifters. The ergonomic wing shape with integrated clamping mechanism offers optimum pressure distribution on the palm and provides targeted relief for wrists, nerves and muscles. Thanks to the wing surface with greater flex, damping comfort is significantly increased, which reduces vibration-related fatigue. The infinitely adjustable wing angle supports the wrist and protects the median and ulnar nerves from overloading. Anti-slip zone and high-quality LongLife rubber ensure a secure grip and durability. The grip is easy to fit and compatible with carbon handlebars.

Features - Ergon GS1 Evo Single Twist Shift grips

No pain, no numbness
Hand discomfort when cycling is widespread, especially on longer tours. With conventional, rather round or seemingly ergonomic grips, numbness often occurs in the fingers as well as pain and irritation in the palm and wrists. Discomfort in the forearms and upper arms as well as in the neck and shoulders can also often be attributed to unsuitable handles. Permanent misalignments can cause pain, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. With the iconic GP1, Ergon has enabled millions of cyclists to enjoy a pain-free ride for more than 20 years.

Flexible wing for more damping comfort with twist grip shifters

The wing surface of the grip is equipped with more flex, which enables effective damping of vibrations and an increased comfort zone with every pedal stroke. This makes the riding experience much more pleasant, especially on uneven terrain.

New ergonomic formula for full control

Thumb, fingers, middle hand: these three gripping zones allow you to hold your bike in your hand while riding. The GS2 has special texture fields for each of these zones that are optimally adapted to the ergonomics of the hand - for full control and a high level of safety.

Straight wrist prevents discomfort

When the wrist bends while cycling, nerves, tendons and blood vessels are compressed. This can lead to constriction of the carpal tunnel and potential damage to the median nerve. The ergonomic wing design of the GP1 Evo supports the wrist in a gentle, straight position. This can effectively prevent problems such as painful wrists, numbness in the fingers, tingling and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Ergonomically optimized for twist shifters

This single twist shifter was specially developed for twist shifters and offers optimum pressure distribution and a comfortable hand position thanks to its ergonomically shaped wings. The grip enables precise shifting operations at all times and effectively relieves the wrist.

Highest quality, short distances, more sustainability
Design, development, production - everything about the GS1 Evo Single Twist Shift is "Made in Germany". This guarantees the highest standards across all manufacturing processes: maximum product quality, short transportation routes, fast delivery times and secure supply chains. By sourcing all raw materials from Germany and using almost exclusively recycled plastics, we also contribute to increased sustainability and produce virtually waste-free.

Grip rubber made in Germany
The material of the Ergon grips meets the highest quality standards, is TÜV-certified, durable and unique worldwide, using only medical white oil as a plasticizer. The UV-stable Longlife rubber compound is developed and manufactured exclusively for Ergon in Germany. Ergonomics, product design and engineering - all made in Germany.

Always clamps, and that's a good thing
The GP series clamping system is extremely secure and easy to install. Each handle is fixed with just one screw and is thus reliably protected against twisting. Also important: Ergon aluminum clamps are forged and not pressed. The GP3 and other GP models with our super-light, flexible bar ends made of glass-fiber composite with non-slip rubber inlays provide you with additional gripping positions.

It's all in the mix
Minimal friction - maximum comfort: The super-soft, UV-stable Longlife rubber compound developed by Ergon offers reliable grip when cycling with its texture fields, lies comfortably in the hand and noticeably increases riding enjoyment.

Fits every gear type
Some models in the GP series, including the GP2, are available in special versions for different gear systems. Both grips are the same length for regular gears. The version for Gripshift® or Dual-Twist-Shift twist shifters includes two shortened grips, for Rohloff®, Nexus® and Single-Twist-Shift only the grip on the right-hand side is shortened.

From the original wing grip to the GP2 Evo
The Ergon GP1 has been the reference for bicycle wing grips for 20 years. Proven millions of times over, the global bestseller has won countless tests and awards. But that was not enough for Ergon. They have continuously improved the original for touring and fitness riders in terms of function, materials and workmanship and are now setting a new milestone with the Evo version. More ergonomics is not possible.
