Cube Aerium C:68X Race foggrey´n´white
Product information "Aerium C:68X Race foggrey´n´white"
Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 with an Ultegra chainset and deraileurs put the right ratio literally at your fingertips, whilst matching Dura-Ace Di2 hydraulic disc brakes mean you can brake later and harder, maintaining your speed for longer. And Newmen Streem Aero/Sprint TT 60/80 wheels shod with Continental Grand Prix 5000 TT tyres and tubes with aero valves get your power to the road. It's got everything that you need – the rest is up to you.
FRAME Cube Aerium C:68X Race
Developed in close collaboration with CUBE athlete and World champion Lucy Charles-Barclay, the Aerium C:68X can rightly claim its title as the fastest frame Cube has ever made. Every detail, from the aero fork design, disc brake integration and in-frame hydration and storage systems has been designed with zero compromise, tested in the wind tunnel and then tested again under pressure, in race conditions. Lucy has full confidence in the frame and its configurable storage and hydration and now you can, too.
Please note that pedals are not included!
Technology
C:68X®
Combining all the expertise from carbon frame building into the ultimate material, C:68X® carbon uses the optimum blend of fibre and nano particle-infused resin. Precision Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing means Cube can avoid bonded sleeves or inserts, too. It's the new benchmark for light, stiff and strong.
Front Derailleur Cover Plate
Set up your Aerium C:68X gears the way you like: as it's supplied, with a 2X system and front derailleur for the widest possible range of ratios, or switch to 1X for simplicity, low weight and optimum aero with the front derailleur mount neatly hidden behind its cover plate.
Full Internal Cable Routing
Full Internal Cable Routing takes the clutter of external cables and consigns it to the past. Cube started from scratch, designing frame and handlebars to accept gear and brake cables internally so that nothing interrupts the bike's clean lines. It's neater, it's more aero, it protects cables from damage and it reduces maintenance. All the wins.
Cockpit System
The CUBE Aerium Cockpit System is about as configurable as it gets. The standard setup is Low, but there's an optional High setup too. With a wide range of adjustment for each, every rider can find their optimum position for comfort, endurance and performance. Armpads can be set over a huge range of widths and stack heights and saddle stack and reach is, of course, also adjustable. Because every watt counts...
Hydration System 2.0
Ultimate performance requires optimum hydration, and that means having a system that's accessible, adaptable and with enough volume for extended racing. The Hydration System 2.0 allows the rider to rehydrate without changing position, thanks to a configurable setup that includes a bar-mounted system plus an additional bladder located inside the frame, just above the bottom bracket.
Storage System
Racers need sustenance, and that means having somewhere to store energy gels or bars. The versatile, modular Storage System puts those extra calories within easy reach of the rider, without having to change position from an aero tuck. Set it up the way that works best for you, and then make use of the extra time you can save by having food close to hand. It's the little things that make the difference...
Twin Head Tube
The Aerium's Twin Head Tube is visually striking, but it's not just about looks. Aerodynamically speaking, it helps reduce air resistance in a straight line for higher speeds. Which, of course, is what it's all about. And, with stronger cross winds, the twin tube profile helps reduce buffeting and increases steering stability. Win, win.
Aero Optimized Geometry
Air sucks, and that's why Aero Optimized Geometry matters. Developed with a combination of wind tunnel testing, Computer Fluid Dynamics and feedback from athletes, it's our way of ensuring you can get the best possible performance out of you and your bike. Stable when you need it, agile when it counts and above all very, very fast.
Advanced Twin Mold
With our Advanced Twin Mold process Cube use two precisely manufactured forms for our C:62®, C:68® and C:68X® carbon frames. The first form is to ensure an accurate layup. The second, inner form keeps every individual fibre precisely where it needs to be while the frame cures. The result is a significantly lighter, stronger frame, with fibre density tailored to anticipated loadings at specific points.
Extra Storage
Need more hydration or extra space for your kit? The Aerium C:68X has you covered. The compartment above the bottom bracket accomodates an extra hydration bladder, or you can use it carry essential spares like a CO2 cartridge, multitool and spare tube. And it's all fully enclosed and aero...
