Stable and agile on the trail: the Red Fire 5 MTB wheelset from Fulcrum

There are some clear rules for the Enduro: The rider must be able to rely on solid and manoeuvrable material that is designed for ascents and especially for descents at maximum speed on varied and sometimes unknown terrain. This is an extremely selective discipline, where every single mechanical component is pushed to the limit over a long period of time. Because of the tough conditions in which the wheels have to perform, Fulcrum has decided to develop a trail enduro wheel that is shorter and wider: the result is a stable, safe and fast support base. The rim has a groove of 27C (ETRTO) and uses this wide base to keep the tyre on track even in the most extreme corners, while the structure of the wheel provides optimum support thanks to the 28 straight-head spokes that make the wheel more stable and responsive. There's no room for hesitation here, it's just a matter of choosing the right line, trusting the material and off you go.

2-WAY FIT™

AFS-AXLE SYSTEM™
The Axial Fixing System™ is the solution developed by Fulcrum® to fix the disc brake to the hub. The constraint granted by the butt area of the release mechanism, greater than in familiar standard ones, makes it possible to obtain greater structural rigidity and therefore more precise and powerful braking.

WIDE RIM TECH
Fulcrum® has worked to create rims that are wider than before, about 4 mm or more than previously. This technical choice provides an ideal basis for 25/28mm tyres, the sizes currently popular. This ensures stability, excellent handling and superior comfort.
