Technologies
3D printed padding
The evolution of digital 3D printing has allowed us to develop a new saddle without the constraints or limitations imposed by traditional manufacturing processes and materials. The Adaptive Saddle padding is manufactured by Carbon using revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis technology. DLS is an additive manufacturing process that uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen permeable optics and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with superior mechanical properties, resolution and surface finish.
Precisely fitting zone padding
Carbon technology gives biomechanics and engineers an unprecedented opportunity: to design and manufacture multiple functional zones within the saddle, and to tune each of these zones separately for specific mechanical properties, each with a distinctive damping and mechanical response, progressively and seamlessly mated into the same padding.
