The other chain guard for hub gears and derailleur. The SLEEVE is a simple and efficient chain guard. It consists of a short piece of plastic tube, which is attached to the chain stay with a flexible band.

For Derailleur and Hub Gears: The "Sleeve" Chain Guard from Fahrer

The tube floats on the chain and moves along with it, so that the SLEEVE is just as suitable for derailleur gears as it is for hub gears and e-bikes with a mid-engine. For a weight increase of only 22 grams, this results in a good trouser protection without affecting the appearance of the bike too much. The SLEEVE also protects the chain from splashing water from the rear wheel, thus reducing chain maintenance.
