New compact bar end size for the GS series. The compact 2 finger bar end is made out of robust glass fibre reinforced composite, with an anti-slip rubber grip. New lightweight German made rubber compound.
As hand size is different from person to person, Ergon manufactures the GP, GS and GA ranges in two sizes - Small and Large. This difference is in the diameter of the grip. The reason for this is that a larger hand is better able to grip a larger grip with less stress and effort. This is the same in reverse for small grip. A smaller hand needs a smaller grip to allow the hand to close around it. Of course, this is all also down to personal preference.

Hätte ich gewusst dass ich bei den Griffen fast nie das Bedürfnis hab umzugreifen, hätte ich die Griffe ohne Hörnchen genommen.
Da ich Griffe für Langstreckentouren brauchte, habe ich mich für die Ergon-Griffe entschieden, da diese bekannterweise sehr bequem sind. Die Variante mit Hörnchen wurde gewählt, weil auf Langstreckenetappen eine weitere Griffposition zum Wechseln keine schlechte Option ist. Hilfreich finde ich hierbei die Möglichkeit den Winkel der Hörnchen verstellen zu können. Die Montage ist auch recht einfach. Hier ist nur das Anzugsmoment 5 NM zu beachten. Drehmomentschlüssel oder Gefühl sollte vorhanden sein.
