The Scarabeo knee protectors are designed around the Pro-Shape Scarabeo protector, which is inspired by the geometry of naturally occurring auxetic materials. Upon impact or stress, these expand simultaneously in all directions, increasing the area of coverage. The structure of the protector allows maximum flexibility and adaptability to all knee positions, following the movements of young riders - whether pedaling or downhill.
The Pro-Shape Scarabeo absorbs 83% of the impact force and does not transfer the impact energy to the knee. The surface of the protector is 55% open, which, together with the highly breathable stretch fabric, ensures excellent ventilation and optimal heat exchange even on the hottest days.
