So it features a front light that's made from recycled materials, mudguards manufactured from recycled PET and Continental's new Pure Contact tyre made from sustainably sourced natural rubber. It's CUBE's way of doing what they can. Shimano's XT components are easy to use and the last word in reliable performance. The comfortable, easy-to-adjust RockShox Paragon Gold air suspension fork makes long days in the saddle a pleasure. And, with the Integrated Carrier 3.0, mudguards, lighting set and kickstand, CUBE like to think they've set a new standard for low-impact, low-carbon travel.

Der Kathmandu Rahmen vereint sämtliche für die Serie typischen Highlights, setzt aber noch etwas obendrauf. Beispielsweise geht der überarbeitete integrierte Gepäckträger IC 3.0 nahtlos und formschön in CUBE's Acid Schutzbleche über. Dazu gibt's am Hinterrad eine Aufnahme für eine Flat Mount Scheibenbremse sowie einen Seitenständer. Seine cleane, aufgeräumte Optik verdankt das Chassis den im Smooth Welding Verfahren geschweißten Rohrverbindungen. So viel zur Optik. In Sachen Funktion hat CUBE den Hinterbau mit einer Steckachse ausgerüstet und sich für ein konfiziertes Steuerrohr für optimierte Stabilität und Lenkpräzision (selbst bei voller Beladung) entschieden. Und dank innen verlaufender Züge wechselt das Bike dauerhaft geschmeidig die Gänge und die Schaltung muss kaum gewartet werden. CUBE hat an alles gedacht – nur die Zahnbürste, die musst du wohl selbst einpacken.
