It partially dampens and absorbs the vibrations, but not the same that a rear shock suspension of course. The 20mm "suspension travel" is enough for touring an on simple dirt roads cycling (I like it). There is no fine adjustment, for example the cyclist weight is 65-70kg you have to choose between either soft or medium elastomer. The price is high, good it at a discount price, but not at the original price. The quality of the saddle rail screws is poor, I don't understand why?
