This year the JEALOUS 9.0 is available for 2999€ and will especially please all Shimano fans. For this classic we use Shimano's 1x12 rear derailleur from the high-quality XT series with a 10-51 cassette and Shadow+ rear derailleur. Thanks to the friction-damped rear derailleur, chain bouncing on wild downhill runs is reduced to a minimum, so you can fully concentrate on the trail.
Highlights of the Jealous 9.0
The SID SL Select+ RL suspension fork with OneLoc Remote ensures the necessary performance in technical passages. The most sensitive response on rough downhill passages and a dreamlike low weight characterize the long runner in the XC area. The powerful Magura MT8 Pro provides targeted braking maneuvers at lowest weight. Extraordinary stiffness due to forged 2-piston and an ultra-light Carbotecture SL housing are the highlights of this competition brakes. In order to get the best out of the Schwalbe Racing Ray at the front and the Racing Ralph at the rear, this year we are installing the reliable and light Newmen Evolution SL X.A.25 with 25mm jaw width - already a classic in the high-quality wheel segment. To keep you ahead of the competition in terms of weight, not only does the redesigned, 950g JEALOUS frame with completely internal cables provide you with the best Newmen carbon parts for the JEALOUS 9.0. The result: an incredible 9.6 kg - a best value in the 3000€ class/league!
The Jealous Family
Higher, faster, lighter – that’s the XC battle cry. The JEALOUS recipe for success is a low centre of gravity, very smooth running, gently-rolling 29-inch wheels in a super-light and extremely rigid carbon-fibre frame, firm 100 mm forks and an efficient drivetrain which give you the right set-up for races in which you dictate the pace. The cables are integrated into the frame, and the brake mount is inside, giving it a super-clean look.
The Jealous Frame
The reworked Jealous 1x frame for the 2021 season is better and cleaner than ever. We have moved the brake conduit on the chainstays to the inside, so that nothing disrupts the silhouette of the frame. A positive side-effect of this is that there are no longer any openings on the drive side on the frame, which emphasises the stealth look of the Jealous. The low frame weight of approx. 950 grams and the worldcup-tested geometry, which has already brought us several podium positions, have been kept.
