Enduro helmet for beginners: the Anzana helmet from Alpina
Large cobblestones, weathered, overgrown, blocked - this is the last thing left of the old pass road to the Col d'Anzana. The remnants of days gone by are now the foundation for something new. The rough route down to Tirano has become a popular trail for endurists. Because it is technically demanding and requires full concentration. That's exactly why maximum protection is required on the descent. That is exactly why it is the inspiration for the ALPINA ANZANA.
The ALPINA ANZANA is priced in the entry-level enduro range. Nevertheless, it is equipped with top features from ALPINA's technology box and thus offers an outstanding price/performance ratio. First and foremost, the high-quality Run System Ergo Plus guarantees optimum hold. With its fine adjustment, it can be perfectly adapted to the head. In addition, the height of the adjustment system can be adjusted via the integrated Custom Fit System. This results in a secure fit and optimum protection.
The outer shell of the helmet consists of a robust polycarbonate plate, which is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS using the Inmold process. This results in a firm surface connection, from which an additional plus in stability results. Thanks to Made in Germany, the highest level of production quality is ensured at the same time. The ALPINA ANZANA's equipment list also includes the large shield that protects the viewing area, antibacterial and washable padding for high comfort, and a fly screen in the front vents.

Technologies
AIR FLOW VENTING
Alpina developers spend a lot of time and energy to constantly improve the ventilation of our cycling helmets. By wind tunnel tested arrangement of vents, our engineers create a "Venturi" effect inside the helmet that cools the head, leading to less sweat and higher performance.
FLY NET
The front vents of the helmet are covered with a mesh fabric. This performs the same function as an insect screen, preventing insect bites on the scalp during hot and humid riding periods and locations.
CERAMIC SHELL
All Inmold-manufactured helmets from Alpina, receive this shatter and scratch resistant polycarbonate shell. The blank is stretched under high heat to the shape of the later helmet and pressed with high pressure on its Hi-EPS body. The material is characterized by several qualities at the same time: It is break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable as well as antistatic.
EDGE PROTECT
Edge Protect is a processing method that ensures Inmold helmets have no sharp edges. This reduces the risk of injury in two ways: on the one hand, it protects the hands when handling the helmet, and on the other hand, in the event of an impact, the neck and shoulder area remain protected from scratches when in contact with the lower edge of the helmet.
HI-EPS
The inner shell of every Alpina helmet is made of Hi-EPS ("High Expanded Polystyrene"). It consists of microscopic air chambers that optimally absorb the forces acting during an impact. Despite optimum protection, HI-EPS ensures extra-thin wall thicknesses and narrow helmet shapes.
INMOLD
In the Inmold production process, the helmet upper shell made of polycarbonate is "baked" together with the EPS granulate of the helmet body under high heat and strong pressure. This creates an extensive and inseparable bond between the upper and lower shells. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.
SHIELD PROTECT
The removable shield protects against splashing dirt as well as direct sunlight.
ERGOMATIC
Proven hundreds of thousands of times and used in all Alpina bicycle helmets: the well-known belt buckle with red push button and multi-stage automatic detent. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - uphill you can loosen the strap, downhill tighten it - and cannot open itself in the event of a fall.
CUSTOM FIT
Different head shapes require a flexible adjustment system. In combination with the Run System, Custom Fit ensures a non-slip fit. The neckband at the back of the head can be tilted in several stages and grips it gently without pressure points.
RUN SYSTEM ERGO+
Like its big brother, the RUN SYSTEM ERGO PRO, Alpina's second most sophisticated helmet fitting system features the newly developed, pressure-distributing "headrests" and the new, easier-to-use adjustment wheel. The only difference to the top model: the wing-shaped supports and the dial are only made of plastic.
Y-CLIP
A helmet can only protect as well as it remains in the optimum position on impact. The fixation of the two straps under the ear plays a decisive role in this. Alpina's "Y-Clip" system guarantees a millimeter-precise adjustment - in seconds.
