The ACID Mud Blocker is all you need to shred for miles in the muddiest conditions. It comes with a set of cable ties to keep the Mud Blocker firmly fixed in place even on super-rough terrain. The included transparent protection foils effectively protect the fork from scratches, while the integrated fork protection fends off mud to keep your fork clean and buttery-smooth. With a width of 87 mm, the Mud Blocker fits most 26in, 27.5in and 29in mountain bike forks.

War erst skeptisch, ob es an die SID SL RL passt, denn das Teil ließ sich nur mit sehr viel Biegen vorab positionieren, aaaaaber: Passt wie Arsch auf Eimer, wenn man die Kabelbinder festgezogen hat! Der Mudguard liegt im engen Radius am Maxxis Rekon Race 2,35" / 29" an. Die mitgelieferten Klebestreifen sind mir zu plastiklastig … Für mich geht unter Kabelbindern nix über das dezente schwarze 08/15-Isolierband aus dem Baumarkt.
Man darf hier auch bei der großen größe kein wirkliches Schutzblech erwarten. Schuhe, Waden, Kettenblatt und Unterrohr werden natürlich nicht geschützt. Hier geht es eher um Oberkörper, Gesicht und die Standrohre der Federgabel. Negativ fand ich das sich auf den Standrohren mehr staub ansammelt als mit dem Zefal FM30. Die Klebestreifen sind für die meissten Tauchrohre nicht wirklich geeignet, da sie zu unflexibel sind. Guter Tipp mit dem Isolierband vom Baumarkt! Desweiteren kollidiert der Mudguard mit der Federgabelkrone (Getestet an einer Fox 34), bei kompletten Einfedern. Das ist jedoch beim Zefal FM20/FM30 auf grund des Designs noch schlimmer. Letzendlich muss man den Mudguard näher am Reifen montieren oder auf 5-10mm Federweg verzichten.
