Das Schloss macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Wiegt ca. 1kg und ist somit etwas leichter als die anderen Bordo Modelle. Könnte den einen oder anderen Dieb schon vom Aussehen her abschrecken.
Leider sagt das Sicherungslevel rein nichts aus zur möglichen Diebstahlsicherung. Habe das Schloss bei einem E-Bike verwendet (zusätzlich zu einem Bügelschloss). Hat wohl kaum Widerstand geboten. Fahrrad war ca. 45 Min. nicht beaufsichtigt und weg war es . Ist wohl mehr was für´s Gefühl.
Mit mehr als 1000 Gramm kein Leichtgewicht, aber mit dem beiliegenden Halter i.d.R. gut am Rad zu befestigen. Mit der Zeit lässt sich aber ein klappern nicht verleugnen - am Mountainbike eher als am Tourenrad, dem Einsatzbereich entsprechend. Die Handhabung ist völlig in Ordnung und das Zahlenschloss lässt die Benutzung durch verschiedenste Fahrer zu. Die Länge lässt es meistens zu, den Rahmen an einem festen Gegenstand anzuschließen, auch noch ein Laufrad mit sichern zu können, ist Glückssache.
Das Schloss tut nach zwei Jahren immer noch das, was es soll, nämlich gut schließen und das Rad angemessen sichern. ABUS-Schlösser brauchen häufig einige Zeit, bis sie leicht zu bedienen sind, und etwas Leichtlaufspray ab und zu bewahrt die Gängigkeit des Zahlenschlosses, man sollte mit solchen Faltschlössern immer etwas vorsichtig und recht achtsam umgehen, jeder Schlag mit dem Verschlussstift auf den Lack bedeutet einen kleinen Lackschaden, wegen der Handhabung deshalb ˋnur´ gut.
