- The bluesign® standard is the world’s most stringent textile standard for environmental protection, consumer protection and occupational safety. All environmental aspects of production are evaluated at the screening: water and air emissions, noise levels, energy and material use, as well as working conditions related to dangerous materials. Products that are made from at least 90% bluesign® certified materials are given the "bluesign® approved fabric" label.

- Green Shape is VAUDE's quality label for products that feature special ecological manufacturing. The products have to be made of at least 90% organic cotton or recycled materials, colored using the eco-friendly VAUDE ecolour dyeing process or made to conform to the world's most stringent textile standard bluesign®.
- Activated carbon particles derived from coconut shells are embedded into Cocona™ fibres, providing the wearer with three functional advantages: UV protection: Harmful UVA and UVB radiation is absorbed by the highly porous carbon structure and neutralized. This gives Cocona™ fabric an ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) of up to 50. Odour reduction: Odour molecules are adsorbed by the pores of the activated carbon particles and retained. The OAV (Odour Adsorption Value), based on the American standard (ASTM) has earned the highest rating of ""very good"". 3. Evaporative cooling. Activated carbon particles within the fabric absorb moisture and distribute it over a large surface area. Moisture from perspiration evaporates 50% faster than in conventional PES fabrics.
